Building mesh and wire mesh are commonly used raw materials in the construction industry. In order to prevent rusting and extend their service life, we need to carry out anti-corrosion treatment on these metal products. We can imagine anti-corrosion treatment of metal products as putting a layer of coating on them to slow down their oxidation rate. The outer layer of steel products is generally zinc, nickel, and chromium protective layer.
Secondly, it should be noted that building mesh and wire mesh may rust if stored improperly. They are generally placed in a dry and ventilated place to avoid contact with acidic gases and alkaline substances, in order to maintain their service life.
Below, we will introduce the anti-corrosion treatment methods for metal products such as building mesh and wire mesh
1. Change the metal structure to reduce the rate of rusting, such as using other alloy products with high anti-corrosion performance as raw materials (such as adding nickel and chromium to ordinary steel products to make stainless steel)
2. Put a layer of outer clothing on the building mesh and wire mesh to isolate them from the air and reduce the oxidation rate.
1) Apply engine oil, Vaseline, paint or non-metallic materials such as enamel or plastic to the surface of steel parts.
2) Using methods such as electroplating, hot plating, spray molding, and coating, a layer of corrosion-resistant metals such as zinc, tin, chromium, and nickel is coated on the surface of steel to form galvanized welding nets, immersion welding nets, spray welding nets, and so on. These metals often form a dense oxide film due to oxidation, which prevents corrosion of steel by water and air.
3) Using chemical methods to form a fine and stable oxide film on the surface of steel. For example, forming a fine black film of ferric oxide on the surface of steel parts such as machine parts and guns.
3. Oxidation protection. It is a chemical treatment method that can modify the surface of aluminum material and improve the hardness of the aluminum mesh surface. This is also chemical coating technology, which can greatly improve the service life of aluminum materials and can attach multiple colors, which is both practical and beautiful.
4. Media treatment. Such as regularly wiping off metal equipment, placing desiccants in precision instruments, and adding a small amount of corrosion inhibitor to corrosive media that can slow down the corrosion rate.
